Before the systems, the departments, the technology, and the second location, there was North Highway 183.
In 2021, Silicon Hills Mobile Mechanics began with a small North Austin operation, two technicians, and a simple purpose: bring dependable automotive service directly to the
people of Austin.
We did not begin with a polished system or a large team. We learned through every appointment, every phone call, every difficult diagnosis, and every opportunity a customer gave us to prove ourselves. What we lacked in infrastructure, we made up for with determination, resourcefulness, and a genuine commitment to serving our community.
2021: Where the Silicon Hills Story Began
Our first year was raw, demanding, and unforgettable.
We worked in driveways, parking lots, apartment communities, workplaces, and roadside locations across Austin. We repaired vehicles under the Texas sun and learned how to keep serving when the weather turned against us.
Rain, winter freezes, severe storms, and even tornado warnings taught us what it truly meant to be a mobile mechanic company. Austin drivers still needed help, and we became determined to build a team they could rely on when conditions were difficult and traditional options were inconvenient.
By the end of our first year, our original two-man operation began to grow, and our small North Austin location began developing a reputation for showing up, solving problems, and standing behind our work.
2022–2023: From a Small Team to an Austin Service Company
During 2022 and 2023, Silicon Hills Mobile Mechanics entered its next stage of growth.
Across those years, we surpassed 2,000 customers served and earned more than 65+ public reviews. Every service request revealed something we could improve, and every customer interaction helped shape the company we were becoming.
We began refining our:
Customer-intake process
Technician dispatch system
Appointment coordination
Diagnostic procedures
Parts-sourcing process
Customer communication
Quality-control standards
Warranty and follow-up procedures
We were no longer simply a group of mechanics completing mobile repairs. We were becoming a coordinated automotive service built around logistics, accountability, communication, and skilled field technicians.
That evolution led to our formal introduction to the market as a true mobile automotive service company. We planted our stake along the Capital of Texas Highway. A fitting address for the scale of our aspirations and the city we were committed to serving.
2024–2025: Building the Silicon Hills Standard
In 2024 and 2025, we buckled down, and broke through 100 Reviews,
officially offering classic, and performance services.
These were the years when we focused intensely on strengthening the foundation beneath the company. We continued refining our systems, defining our teams, adopting better technology, and learning how to coordinate dozens of customers each week without losing the personal responsibility that helped build our name.
We combined automotive experience with logistics and technology to create something different: a mobile repair experience designed to be organized, documented, responsive, and professional from the first service request through the final invoice.
But systems alone did not build Silicon Hills.
People did.
Over the past five years, many technicians, coordinators, managers, contractors, partners, friends, and supporters have contributed to this company. Some remain with us today. Others were present for only a particular season. Each person who answered a customer’s call, completed a difficult repair, helped coordinate an appointment, trained another team member, solved an operational problem, or represented our name with integrity added something meaningful to this foundation.
To every former and current member of the Silicon Hills family: Thank you.

2026: The Fruit of Five Years of Work
Now, with over 150 Google Reviews in 2026, Silicon Hills Mobile Mechanics celebrates the fifth anniversary of our original North Austin location.
What began with two technicians and no established systems has grown into a larger, organized team with defined departments, improved technology, stronger operating procedures, and a second Austin location serving the Barton Springs–MoPac area.
Our new South Austin presence is not the end of the North Austin story. It is evidence of what began there.
Every lesson learned at North Highway 183 helped prepare us for this expansion. Every customer who trusted us, every employee who contributed, and every challenge that forced us to improve helped produce the fruit we are seeing today.
Through every season, we have sought to build this company for Christ and for our community. Serving people honestly, treating our responsibilities seriously, and remembering that growth means little if we lose the values that gave the work meaning.
We have not been perfect, but we have remained willing to learn, correct, improve, and keep moving forward.
